Bite Back With Last Bite Mosquito And Tick Control

We are a locally staffed and operated business. We love spending time outdoors with our families but over the years the mosquitoes have become unbearable in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We all dread the routine of spraying down our young children with chemicals, our dogs continually getting chewed up, and finding ourselves inside more than we like.

1. OVERGROWN VEGETATION

Plant overgrowth at the edge of your property can make convenient entry points to your yard. Make sure to keep your edge growth trimmed.

2. LEAF-LITTER

Ticks are tiny pests and are often difficult to see, which is why you should eliminate leaf piles as they make for a convenient hiding place.

3. FENCING

While ticks are small with tiny legs, wild animals like raccoons or deer allow them to travel much farther. Fences prevent animal incursions.

4. PREVENT LITTERING

Keeping your garbage in a sealed garbage can with a lid is essential to prevent tick-carrying animals from coming to your yard.

5. GRASS

Ticks like to hunt by hiding on long blades of grass. Keeping your yard well-trimmed will make it much harder for them to find their prey.

6. WOOD STORAGE

Tiny pests like rodents can hide in firewood piles. Keep your firewood on an elevated surface to prevent nesting by tick-carrying pests.

7. WOOD CHIPS & GRAVEL

Ticks prefer to travel on the grass and dislike artificial surfaces. Gravel and wood chips make excellent artificial barriers to your yard and greenery.

Frequently Asked Questions

We use an EPA approved water based solution that contains the synthetic version of Pyrethrum (an organic compound known as pyrethroids) which is derived from the flower heads of Chrysanthemums (The African Daisy). Pyrethroids are used in lice shampoos for children as well as flea shampoos for dogs. We do recommend staying out of the treated area until it dries, which in most cases is 30 minutes. A risk/benefit balancing analysis conducted by the EPA saw the benefits of permethrin dramatically outweighing the risks. In a comparative test with DEET, when put directly on the skin, typically less than 1% of the active Permethrin ingredient is absorbed into the body; DEET can be absorbed at over 20 times that rate.

All packages include free automatic scheduling of monthly treatments. We will send you a text, email, and/or phone call based on your preference 1-2 days prior to your scheduled treatment as a reminder.

Not typically. Mosquitoes do not usually seek shelter in the grass. When first treating your property, our technician will do a pre-spray walk to seek out the areas where mosquitos might be resting. The most common areas to find mosquitoes during the day include: the underside of the leaves of dense/shrubby plants, under decks and in damp shady areas of the property. We do recommend that you keep your grass short during the mosquito season. In some cases such as special events like weddings and large outdoor parties, we will spray the grass where your guests will be.

No. We will leave a notice that you received your Last Bite Mosquito Control treatment. Any pets will need to be brought inside during the treatment and can return to the yard after it has dried (~30 minutes). Please unlock any gates that will be needed for access to your yard.

A typical treatment will average about 10-20 minutes. Larger yards may take longer to treat. Each treatment lasts approximately one month, at which time our team will be scheduled to treat your yard again. Our fine mist Barrier Spray kills adult mosquitoes on contact during the first application. The dried residue continues to provide protection for the month when the mosquitoes land or feed on the vegetation. The following treatments will kill the larvae of the mosquitoes creating a safe and fun backyard.

The number of mosquitoes in your yard will decline drastically! Nobody can promise you that you will never see a mosquito again, but we will promise that our service will eliminate up to 95% of those pesky Mosquitoes.
